My Christmas cake

This the first time I've 'done' Christmas for the family -now we're in the new house we can have everyone over. I decided I wanted to do everything properly so last month I made my cake, it all seemed like such a good idea back in July!
Anyway, I finished icing the cake last night and here it is!
Not great but I'm hoping it'll be edible

I'm sure there will be some leftovers!
I love Christmas cake, as does my mum and step-dad but I think we're the only ones!

Looks great, I love the design. You're much better organised than me, I've not got the icing on yet.

Re: My Christmas cake

Very pretty! I'm not brave enough to try making cakes . . . my first attempt at a cheesecake in summer went horribly pear-shaped.

I bet it's going to taste as good as it looks

Re: My Christmas cake

What a lovely cake Liz - love the polar bear and penguins! Your lettering is really neat too. Hope you all enjoy it.

My cake won't be iced, but I shall be doing a "sort of" decoration tomorrow, so I'll post the result if it's worthy!
