Re: Daily Thread Thursday

Ouch Luke!
Hope you're having a good, restorative zzzzzzzzz now.
Welcome to 4th january - these are strange days at the very start of the year aren't they? Still not really back in the groove.
Had an email from my old work saying pleeeeze come back and do some freelance work, we've lost staff, really stretched etc. I don't think so - don't really want to get on the treadmill again (and if I went back i would do it properly - I don't do anything in half-measures) and it sounds as though it would be quite pressured. I'll take a few days to see how I feel, how the parents are doing etc etc before coming to a decision.
Mini doesn't seem very well - she's not relaxing, seems always to be 'perched' places, rather than snuggled in and asleep. I'll try for a vet appointment but I want to see the vet who's treated her all through so may be dependent on if he is available or if he is doing farm work today, or taking a new year holiday.
Have a good day all

Re: Daily Thread Thursday

Luke - hope you feel better soon. I think there is something definitely going around. Both hubby and I have had immovable headaches and also some of the people at work have suffered over Christmas.

DM - I hope Mini's OK and that it's just a blip. You're obviously the one that knows her best but I hope the vet's able to put your mind at rest.

I'm off to my Mum's in a bit with the kiddies. I'm hoping to avoid the M4 where this horrible coach crash was . . . I expect the traffic will be sticky there. Might have to use the M40 instead . . .

Have a nice Thursday everyone

Re: Daily Thread Thursday

Morning everyone!

Not a nice day again today altho there is a tiny patch of blue sky appearing through the grey.

Am playing with my new computer mouse, it's great and Thomas my boy is finding it a lot easier to use than the normal mouse.

All the cats are in scattered about the house. Tilly the dog is laid on the landing, Moli's halfway down the stairs, not sure where Salt is and Timmy is probably either on the dogs day bed or on the settee.

Hope you all have a great day.

Re: Daily Thread Thursday

Morning all, damp and miserable here this morning Hardly had any sleep last night myself, Bliss decided that she was going to start and have her very first call, so she was caterwaling all night long
Em is having that tooth removed later on this afternoon and they have decided since it is a baby tooth and her being so young that they are going to take it out under nitrous oxide (laughing gas) rather than IV seation. She is understandably apprehensive it about it all.

DM - I hope you can get an appointment for mini. The oldies are such worries aren't they?

Luke - I hope you are managing soom sleep right now

Yola - Have a safe journey

Yola - safe journey
Em - it'll be over before you know it.
Fran - precocious kitten you have there!

Vet appointment for 11.50. I'll have to clear my head as to what I think is wrong, rather than just say - she's not herself ; please fix her . It's true we know our animals but it's difficult explaining those *things* that make your 'unwell radar' twitch. She's lost weight, I'm sure, and she won't relax. Might mean she has a pain? Will let you know, obviously.

Back from the vets.
Animals are great at making fools of you aren't they? She hopped out of the carrier, greeted her vet, generally took a lot of interest. No temp, all eye signs fine and she's put on weight. He's happy with her, subject to the results of the blood test. He'll call me later.
