Have spent a good few hours trying to put my plan in my head into reality. I'm getting there slowly.
This is the herbaceous border at the gate. On the left is a hydrangea bush. You can see the crocosmia just beginning to peek up. Also in the border are geranium, campanula, poppies, cornflower and a new rose bush which shoud climb over the fence.
Thought I'd try the potatoes in a bag idea
The New Zealand flax
OH got me this to turn into a water butt. Just trying to decide best way to get the top off without destroying it.
Little japanese Maple is coming into leaf nicely
Kilmarnock Willow is looking really healthy just now
OH bought me the planters a few months ago, got the plants for them at the weekend and planted them up.
Little seating area - the tank is going to be surrounded by trellis and the planters at the side have sweet pea, clematis and morning glory planted in them
Azalea just starting to flower
New shrub border created two years ago, starting to look a bit better. Planted loads of nigella and sweet william in here.
Border created last year - still has a way to go but is filling up nicely
Willow screening and new beech hedge that I planted up week or so ago. There will eventually be a small deck here as it is a real sun trap. Still to straighten out trellis but you get the idea.
Lastly - this is the bit of field OH has 'donated' to me for my chicken shen and run. Needs to be cleared up and levelled a bit so that will keep me busy!
If only there were more gardening hours in the day
