I would say 6 months. Will give him chance to mature a bit but I wouldn't leave it longer cos if toms start spraying it's hard to stop them and they are smelly!!! |

Oh to answer your question in more detail, 6 months used to be the standard, but as cats can be fertile from 4 months the recommendation has changed to earlier. Imo kittens shouldn't be going out before 6 months, if at all, so is only really important to do before 6 months if mixed sexes are living together and aren't neutered More info: http://www.cats.org.uk/what-we-do/neutering/enr/ |
