Dubrovnik Cable CarThe original cable car to the top of Mount Srdj began transporting passengers in 1969 but was completely destroyed during the Croatian War of Independance in 1991. It was rebuilt in 2010. The cable car has two cabins which hold a capacity of 30 passengers (which in my opinion is too crowded). It will reach the top of Mount Srdj (778 metres) in about 3 mins!  The views are spectacular! High above Dubrovnik Old Town and Harbour .....     The Cross that stands on top of the Mount .......  It's pretty scary looking over the edge!   Going down!

I agree, the views are magnificent, but I could never go up in that! As bad as a roller coaster or the London Eye! How in the world do you pronounce the name of that mountain with no vowels? |
