Temporarily back!

I'm at Carolyn's; she kindly is letting me use her computer. Power went last night about 7:30, house frigid by this morning so am staying here till its up and working again. A very bad mix of ice and heavy wet snow brought the City to a standstli and thousands in the dark and cold. All grocery deliveries cancelled, that'll be a problem when things are back to normal. I about went mad sitting in the cold and dark last night wanting to be on line.

Leia screamed pitifully in the car coming here, but has settled, eaten and tentatively exploring. Other than the vets this is the first time she's ever been away from home.

Anyhow, thanks for the nice messages on Mags thread, and of course thanks to her for posting it.They seem to have no idea when power will be restored; neighbor says maybe tomorrow.......???

So glad to hear that you and Leia are safe and warm at Carolyn's. Hope power is restored soon. I wonder if Mr President is sitting in the dark ..... I expect The White House has an emergency generator!

It's so good to see you got online, at least for a little while Eileen. And how lovely to have a friend you could go to until the power comes back home.

Second the hug and kiss to Leia. Have a hug for yourself for all the inconvenience being without Your internet brings with it.
