MiddeningDylan decided he was going to leave a smelly present in front of the back door today. He's not been with us very long, only since Saturday, but he seems to get really stressed by the back door  The other doors he's OK with, he just doesn't like the back door for some reason.The only thing I can think of is through the back door and the conservatory door he can see when other cats are passing by, but he doesn't seem fazed by the conservatory door. Why would he target one door and not another? (I've been trying to get him used to his new harness as well, but he decided he didn't like it and kept biting it  )

Bear in mind he will be a little stressed in his new environment and will have to establish new territory, the fact he can see strange cats, he will want to keep a safe distance from them initially and mark a boundry that they shall not cross, if that makes sense. |

I would agree with Elaine that is the reason for Dylan's deposit. I have no knowledge about how to ease the situation for him or whether he will stop doing it when he feels more settled. |

So far there's been no more deposits in fact he's been trying to be friends with the neighbour's (elderly female) cat  |
