Neutering

At what age can a cat be neutered after a litter has been born? Is it 4 weeks?

Re: Neutering

He suggested 4 weeks to me. Does speying dry the milk up? And would the kittens be ok to be left without Mom for a day?

I can't say certainly but understand that it is as soon as the kittens have been weaned.

Re: Neutering

If your vet has already said 4 weeks to you then your question had already been answered.

No harm in double checking. No need to be rude.

Re: Neutering

I think she's asking about the mum cat Elaine and my vet does nursing mothers at no earlier than 6 weeks.

You really didnt do your homework before embarking on this did you.
Speying should dry up the milk and kittens would be ok without mum for a while if they have been weaned.
