My mums coming too stay.

My mum who is nearly 83 is coming too stay next week for a few days. She doent realy want too but she is having a kitchen fitted by the local council. She has now been told that the house needs a full rewire. There will be floor boards up, walls dug out and all the mess. If my mum stays she will drive the workmen round the bend. At some point she will have no power at all for some part of the day. I do have 2 brothers and a sister they do other things during the day and also work. I just hope it goes alright as she does get on my nerves sometimes but she is my mum. Up until last november she used to go down to my ex-husband house to pick up the washing and take it home and iron it then bring it back. She also clean up after him and my other 2 kids. She has done so much for me i just wanted to help her in some way.

I do hope the work at your mum's house goes quickly and smoothly Jane. Glad you are able to offer her a sanctuary whilst the work is being done - just hope for it doesn't last too long, eh?

Re: My mums coming too stay.

when we had our kitchen done the dust drove me mad. and i was lucky the weather was warm so we could have the windows open. but even then the dust made me cough.
it wont be for long. so enjoy having her over. get some of the old photos out. that will be good for a laugh.
