Maybe she could do with a top up of fluid, sub-q or IV.... just a thought. It's a tough call sometimes, looking after sick and aging cats. Hope she perks up and you get some rest tonight. |

Well Spice ate all her breakfast really well and seems quite settled. I am not fully confident that she is quite right, but there is nothing obvious, she isn't dehydrated. I do wonder if this is the high before the low- not sure if it is a scientfic fact but have often found an animal has a bit of a high before the end. Elaine, we have ( rightly or wrongly) in Spice's case decided not to opt for putting her on a drip. She has so many issues and we don't feel it would be fair in her case- maybe if she could be dripped at home, but we don't want her overnight in the vets alone, when she is so frail. Spice has been sleeping all day, I haven't done much and just had an hours kip because we have to go out tonight- I want my bed! |
