Internet SecurityJust wondered what Internet Security/Antivirus products you are all using at the moment. I currently have Norton Internet Security 2005 on the desktop but the subscription has expired so it no longer updates, the laptop has about 30 days left on a free trial version on Norton antivirus. I've been looking around but there are so many different ones with differing reviews.....and I'm getting confused

It's all confusing.   I have Norton and just renew it when the date comes round. I like it because I am used to it and it reassures me that I can just do a virus scan whenever anyone mentions there may be a problem. I run it twice a week too. |

we use linux as our operating system, dont get bothered by viruses  , dumped windows months ago. (linux is free by the way  ) |

My laptop has Norton on, not sure what my dauther's pc came with. It is a Dell pc, and my son's pc only has AVG Virus protection which is a free download from the internet. He has not had any problems with virus problems. |

Thanks for the replies.....i have been happy with Norton so far but it slows things down so much....also i hear there can be problems uninstalling it.....found a good online virus/adware checker though called Housecall and it picked up some stuff. It seems whatever you have it doesn't pick up everything |

We all use the free AVG here and are very impressed by it. Used to use Norton but found it very annoying and that it messed up other programs running on the pc. Also use the ad-aware and spybot free programmes |
