Feeding wet and dry

Those who feed their cats a mixture of wet and dry food, what proportion do you feed, eg 30% dry and 70% wet.

Re: Feeding wet and dry

Leia gets approximately 90% wet, just a sprinkling of dry, as she had cystitis once, no flare-ups since I reduced the dry.

Re: Feeding wet and dry

Mine eat about 50 - 50 wet and dry.
I think it depends on the cats. They are fussy creatures!!

Re: Feeding wet and dry

Mine used to have 90% wet and 10% dry, but due to cystitis problems I have now gone 100% wet food and no more problems.

50% each for Tom and Jerry. They have a bowl of dry for breakfast and wet food for tea.

i normally feed wet at night and just leave the dry down, and top it up when it looks low, which is usually in the morning!

Re: Feeding wet and dry

I am on my way to all wet; Kuan Yin and Hestia are fully switched. Solomon however is harder to ward off the ferrets kibble. I've successfully blocked off the food in one cage so he can still go in there but there is another compartment now that only ferrets can squeeze through..The second cage is built a bit more awkwardly and I am having trouble with that but I think it will be resolved when I buy a new cage much like the first..that'll teach him. My goal is to have dry completely out of his diet by end of year, he's going to fight all the way though
