kids out still playing

and look at the time dont their parents care where or what their kids are up to.
the noise is deafning, and right outside my door, my mad neighbour has gone out so her daughter had got all her mates round, and the mothers not the sort u can approach she would want to wrestle u to the ground just to prove a point

How very annoying for you! Maybe the authorities should think of a curfew...we've had an awful spate of crimes lately & the police chief has moved the kids curfew from midnight to 10 pm...not that it will really do any good; the kids who stay home probably aren't the ones mugging and stealing cars...and the ones who are couldn't care less about a curfew!! Ah well....

Not the sort of upbringing that gets you further than a street-corner, unless the child is exceptional. And they'll grow up just as selfish as their parents, because they haven't been shown the options.
The sooner you can move elsewhere the better - you raise the tone far too high in that area.

That is so sad. I'm sorry your having such a bad time. Have you tryed putting up cards in the post office and super markets for an exchange? Thats what I did a few years back when I had the neighbous from hell.It worked.
When I was a kid we were in by 7. Not allowed out on a Sunday ect. Pitty values seem to have gone down the pan for some.
My little girl thought it was great as she stayed out untill 8pm last night (latest ever) but she was in a friends back garden and her Mum brought her back.
My son is 15 and he gets out till 10 if he's at a friends house. If not home by 9.30. If I ever caught him hanging about the streets causing bother he just wouldnt get out.

Re: kids out still playing

BM - I think 11pm is the cut off point for noise. If they're behaving rowdily after 11 you can summon the police and/or the noise abatement people from the council. We looked into this recently when the hairy-arsed teenagers whose parents are renting next door were causing a problem.

If you push hard enough, and the problem is persistent enough there maybe enough ammunition for an ASBO and as DM suggests this will instil a curfew on the little animals.

I'm so sorry you're having to put up with this - it's stressful in the extreme, but complain until you're blue in the face otherwise nothing will be done and they will have won.

Re: kids out still playing

we are on *the list* for a transfer. im going to start hassling them for a move. ask my doc if she can back me up.
i cant call the police as last time the plod called on my flat so everyone knew who the *grass* was its starting to calm down a bit. but still getting comments from my crazy neighbour, doors slamming late at night. she really ought to keep quiet as i know shea claiming on the dss, and shes also working and got a bloke living there. so ppl with glass houses n stones spring to mind.
oh some thing will sort its self out always does, im not gonna let it get me down am i??

Not you! And you've got us to vent to, when necessary. Promise not to slam doors so loud that you can hear them.

Hopefully your doc can write a nice, scary letter to get things going.
