Labradors?

I was out walking my neighbour's Labrador yesterday, she is 10 years old and I have been with them and walked her before in a huge park but yesterday we walked round the block and I got the crossing of a small road and she just sat down? So I tried to encourage her to come on and began to walk but it just pulled her and she started to grumble so I turned around and she pulled to get home but I managed to get up the road by her house and she sat down again? I got up a different road and she did it again so I went back to her house and she was fine......

She had been for a walk early that morning.

Re: Labradors?

Sounds to me like she wanted to go home.

Re: Labradors?

Hmmmm, strange for a lab not to enjoy being out How are the dog's joints? any sign of arthritis? Labs are rather prone to this. If she does this again, I'd be inclined to get a check up with the vets.
