No Saturday thread?

It''s afternoon and no thread yet? At least I can't find one; where is everybody? I know where the lucky ones on holiday are.....
Sunny and very unseasonably chilly today; cold front came thru overnight and it was only 61F when I got up! Shock to the system after our string of lovely days in the 80s and 90s!! Needed a jacket on the way to the library.
Hope all the missing members are having a lovely day, wherever you are....

Re: No Saturday thread?

Hiya DM I've been a busy girl with shopping this morning then trying to get some of the garden sorted. We have 3 apple trees and even tho they weren't supposed to fruit this year they have produced tons and most of them had fallen and in various stages of rot on the grass. Not a nice task getting them all up *shudder*. Still it's done now and I'm now contemplating the trees fate. They were here when we moved to this house and not what I would have chosen so am thinking of replacing them with something less maintenance needy.

Hope you have all had / are having a good day

Afternoon Eileen, I've been out most of the day enjoying the beautiful weather here...
Maybe others have been enjoying the late summer sunshine too......... except poor Moli and maybe some of our other Scottish members...

Re: No Saturday thread?

Afternoon all, we're having a beautiful day here in Hampshire, lovely clear skies and warm sunshine. Great relief in the household because we're finally back on line after a few days broken connection......we ended up having to get a new wireless router, which I'm pleased to say is working! (I have to admit I sneaked on briefly at work yesterday for a quick read!!)

That's what my Dad's doctor told him to do with the shingles as I remember; I think the water had baking soda in it??? I really feel bad for you; I know how painful it is!
It's the chicken pox virus that has laid dormant for years...hope you're better soon

Yes Ive been putting that in the bath,Jac told me about it the other day so I thoughtI would give it a try,it does help a little.
I have had it before,I was really young the first time I had it,11 years old,it was on my back then and didnt seem to hurt half as much as this is now, that always seems the way though doesnt it,when I used to get tonsilitus when I was a kid I used to be running round the house getting on like normal but as I got older it hurt more!!!
