Poor kitty, sadly it is an age related issue with no cure, all your friend can really do is make her cat as comfortable as possible with the use of anti-inflamatories and or pain meds. The only other thing I can think of that may help would be the likes of acupuncture or maybe even reiki. Cases of spondylosis are more often found in female cats and a high intake of vitamin A can be a cause, usually when a cat is fed liver. I wouldnt have thought at this stage that diet will make any difference to be honest. |
