Re: Friday

Bright and early this morning, Kazz - if you're off out, you must be feeling reasonably OK. I still have a bit of discomfort from my exam on Wednesday.

I'm going to Tesco this morning! Woooopeeee!!! Having groceries delivered is lovely, but you miss out on looking at the products. I want to see if there's anything new in the cleaning aisles or the cat food. I'm doing some product tasting - well, Kizzy and Pip are - trying to find THE wet food that they both eat and clean their bowls. Nearest so far is Almo Nature Tuna in Jelly - not a scrap left! The most definite no-no is Natures Best. It's an interesting experiment.

I shall be looking in the cleaning aisles for "green" products - baking soda, vinegar and I'm tempted to try Ecover products. Does anyone else use them????

More transcription this afternoon. Busy work-wise next week too with any luck! Have to fund the cat food experiment somehow!!!

Thinking about Calismum and our Scottish members who may or may not be snowed in. Worst weather in Scotland this winter and not a mention on the news down here. Disgraceful.

Have a good day peeps.

Re: Friday

another busy day here... took Cait into town (1 hours drive) to collect her new Mac.. only to get it home and upon unpacking it find that there was no keyboard or mouse in the box!!??...... Can you spell NOT IMPRESSED???
they forgot to put it back in there after they transferred data from her laptop to the new computer ... so a few phone calls back and forth resulted in them sending them to us with a courier which would have been expensive... but not my fault.
its still hot here... the cooler has been on all day and at the moment its 2140 hrs and its still 34 deg cel outside! so yet another warm night awaits me...

sounds like you have a full day Angie... hope you are felling better soon and glad that you are out and about a bit Kazz...

hope you all have a good day and manage to stay warm and dry

Re: Friday

PLEASE can we have some of your heat Jo *begs*

Angie, I use Ecover products, I'll start a new thread on it as it's all a bit long-winded!

At home today with Sebi. We've been to the car hire place as I left my hands free unit in the hire car, we've been to take Fifi to the vet nurse for a nail clipping and to make an appt for Balie for next Friday as I think he's loosing weight again despite eating approx 3 sachets of wet RC food a day and no longer vomitting.

I'm now waiting for the prospective pet sitter to arrive who will look after the fluffs when we go to Italy in August - I want to meet her and quiz her on her expertise with cats - and pernickety cats at that!

Later we need to run into town as I have to get some new baby gifts and some pharmacy bits + some new wellies for Sebi! Then it'll be off to pick Domi up from school and finally at the end of the day pick OH up from work. Load/unload washing machine inbetween and do a bit of interim cleaning and tidying.

And he has a go at me and tells me I lounge around the house on Fridays. Grrrrr!!

Re: Friday

Morning all. No rain as yet.. but no doubt it will be here some time soon. Windy and cold too so not a nice day at all.

Found out today Sean didnt pick up any of his GCSE/BTEC certificates when they were issued and now the school has shredded them!!! Have to pay £100's pounds for replacements!!! Great eh?

Emma has had a huge fallout with her dad over her missing Art courseswork for her GCSE's (Emma left it in her bedroom at his and now over the skiing holidays it has disappeared and Emma is blaming her dads partner for hiding it).

Either way it needs to be found otherwise she has failed one GCSE already

Work is really busy as we are short staff - we sacked someone this week and have no replacement.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Re: Friday

Greetings! sorry for my long absence. You may know that Ceri my OH has had a stroke and therefore my Catsey time has been limited. Only just catching up with the news about Eva, poor Elaine, so sorry. Hope all you folks are ok and your furry friends too.
Posh still her usual prima donna self, had her annual jab Tuesday so was a bit off colour Wed and yesterday, but back to normal today. Still missing our darling Bron, who was PTS on 29/12, no more dogs for us now, but considering another cat, probably an adopted Persian rescue, but in time dear hearts, no rush

All the best for now, Nette xxx

Nice to hear from you PP. As you don't say, I am a bit afraid to ask but how is Ceri coming along?

Oh he's gaining slowly Angie, his memory is very slow in coming around and he asks a lots of questions repeatedly, but physically he's in good shape and can do most of his personal tasks very well, ie, washing dressing etc so thats a help. Needs supervision for making tea etc which he forgets what comes first, small task but complicated for him. Will be having OT at home for that.

Finding the constant questions hard to cope with all the time and the tiredness but thats to be expected. My family have been excellent and I get time off from him for my sanity
