It's bad round here, some people i know have had their houses flooded and I feel upset with the news that the local nursing home has had to evacuate over 50 elderly residents

Thanks for that good link, Mags! I won't see any of that on TV here. I had no idea the flooding was so widespread and destructive! I too pray that all here are safe and their property unharmed!

The links on the right show the workers trapped in Minworth just up the road from me. And the link that says weather disrupts train shows what the little villages around here by me are like. In minworth is where they were rescuing people by using the bucket of a JCB

We escaped all that down here in Hampshire. There was a very heavy (but thankfully short) shower about 13.45-14.00. I had no idea until this evening how bad the weather had been elsewhere. Hope everyone's OK.
