Hello, Everyone!

Brand new member, located in the US. My wife and I have three furry children at the moment - Ginger, a five-year-old long-hair, and Pete and Arlo, three-year-old litter-mates who are both DSH tigers - Pete is a soft fawn color, and Arlo is more of a red.

Looking forward to meeting other cat lovers here!

Hi and a warm welcome from me! Your cats sounds quite unusual; it would be lovely to see some pictures of them.

Actually, I have to say... Ginger is not a ginger - she is a long-haired tortie! My wife named her Ginger because she thought the name fit her personality.

I'll post pics soon!

Re: Hello, Everyone!

oops looks like I jumped the gun there! I have a tortie and my mother wanted to call her Ginger when we had her too! She's Pandora now, a little out of sorts at the moment but she's a a little cracker when she's well.

Re: Hello, Everyone!

Hi BlackWolf

Love tortie cats. Where we live in Lancashire, England they are also called calamanca cats or calico cats. I have had tortie cats in the past, all she's of course, Maisie, Rosie and Tansy. My Mum has 2 called Lizzie Pin and Essy.

At the mo we have 2 longhaired black and white, 1 shorthaired black, 1 longhaired tabby and a bi-colour, sealpoint Ragdoll. Never bothered about what colour our cats are, they have all been rescues, either strays or from animal shelters. Never had a white one although we had 'part shares' in our neighbours cat Moomin until they moved!
