Thanks Velvet. We don't know how old Miracle is exactly as she was one of a feral litter abandoned by their mother. She was the most sick of the 5 of them and not expected to live, hence the name Miracle. We think she was around 5 months old when she had the kittens but she was, and is, very small. You can understand how angry I was, both at myself at being so irresponsible and at my vet for refusing to spay her.The kittens are now 4 months old so Miracle is now 9 months. The recent picture of her was taken when she was 7 months old(2 months ago) She is still very small but she now eats a lot better and doesn't put her whole face in the food bowl. She was very very tiny and sick when we got her but it is wonderful what a lot of TLC, good food and vet care can do. We love her to bits |

They are all so beautiful and a credit to your love and care. I have a warm feeling for Snodgrass, he's a colourpoint like my dear late Posh I think your babies will have a lovely temperament, are you planning to keep them all? Such a lovely family, you're blessed. |

Hi Posh Puss, thanks for your kind comments. And yes,Snodgrass is a colourpoint like your beautiful Posh. I have read about Posh when I was exploring the forums .How you must miss your baby. I have always liked colourpoints and have had a number of them over the years. They have all been seen as "rejects" because some fault makes them unsuitable.for showing .To me ,no animal is ever a reject. Snodgrass was the runt of the litter and now takes seizures after he caught toxoplasmosis. He has found his forever home with me. Sitting with him and cleaning him after a seizure is a small price to pay for his companionship and devotion. You will know what I mean as you ,too, have had the pleasure of being owned by a colourpoint. We are going to keep the kittens as we hand reared them all and they are a part of our family now.And I'm happy to say that the three people who badly wanted one of these babies, we referred on to a friend here in Christchurch who runs a cat rescue group, and all three are now the happy owners of a young rescue kitty. Who knows, you may have the opportunity to be qwned by another colourpoint one day and honour the memory of Posh in that way. |

Wee cuddle-bugs! Thanks goodness Miracle found you to care for her. I know very little about genetics, but find it strange that all the kittens take after Miracle with no colourpoint visible. |

All of them are just wonderful. And what a story their short little lives makes! The kittens have got those odd 'hammerhead' shaped heads that my Persian kittens had. Adorable; and the way you're looking after them all is very inspiring. x |
