Hobbies

Just thinking to myself I do not actually have a hobby....and wondered do any of you?

Mine are photography, mountain biking, driving and walking

I would have if I had time. Don't even have time for the allotment at the moment as boys' activities result it much driving to various sporting events but after school and at weekends.

Never been one for organised hobbies as my shift patterns used to mess with that, but now I'm at home most days I've started genealogy, which is interesting. Also I try to gym and swim when I can but that's for health reasons more than a hobby. I would love to have a talent like, painting or creative skills but that gene was never planted.

My hobbies are: genealogy; reading; agility/obedience training with the dogs and photography. I also love gardening but find myself less able to do it these days. Oh, and most importantly, cat cuddling.

Kazz, I know you garden and do a lot of DIY - don't you count those as hobbies?

That's the thing you see I am not sure if I do class them has hobbies as much as pastimes.....maybe they are.

Apart from the dogs, which I try to teach something new everyday..I love gardening, reading, local history and medievel history.....
At the moment most of my time is teaching Heidi....

Now, you see, I would say that hobbies and pastimes are much the same thing ..... but perhaps they aren't? Is a hobby more something you do with enthusiasm and a pastime something you just do to pass-the-time????

In that case I have hobbies Gardening, dog walking, driving. Maybe its a perception - maybe I think of hobbies as stamp collecting - making soldiers - art.

Just wanted to chat away really.
