Bluebell's been in the vets all day.

Last night John noticed that Bluebell had a large abcess on her face. It had come up really quickly so I took her to the vets today. She was as good as gold & the vet thought she was a star She had to stay there to have it drained. John collected her this afternoon & she seems ok. They didn't even give her any anaesthitic as she was so good, they put some L/A cream on instead. What a good girl she is.

Ahh...she was a good girl Smudgley, not many would let the vet do that without some objection..

Was it a bite that caused the abcess?

Well when she came in last night, She has to be in at a certain time (like a spoilt child she is) we noticed a wet patch on her face. Didn't think anything of it. John gave her a good brush & it wasn't there then. But a couple of hours later he noticed it. We looked for a wound but couldn't see anything. The vet asked me if she was a fighter {My Boo-Boo doesn't fight} So I said I've never known her to, but told the vet about the wet patch & said I didn't know if a cat may have grabbed her there & bitten/scratched her. Seems the most obvious explanation. She's doing fine & has eaten a lovely big tea.

I would Dawn, but I've got no chance. John hasn't put her down since she got back... however when he does I'll give her a hug from you.

Poor baby Glad she's feeling a bit brighter though. She's been in the wars a bit lately. Hugs to Bluebell
