Wedding's cancelled

Until next year that is

We were due to get married Aug 4th this year,
but when I met the new vicor of the church we were due to get married in it just didnt seem right, she seemed like people getting married in 'her church' was an inconvenience

Luckily no money had changed hands so far what so ever, so I cancelled everything yesterday

Our dream day has always been at this place, and we've got the chance to get married here now Pauls got his new job
So Ive contacted the lady incharge of the weddings at this place and are hopeing to confirm a date for next year sometime this week, I couldnt be happier
Take a nose, isnt it stunning
It has its own chapal, which is more like a catherdral, but for some reason I cant find any pics online of the chapal

Re: Wedding's cancelled

Ooooh, it looks lovely!! I'm sure it's worth waiting until next year to get exactly the right venue

It looks a very similar place to a private school I used to work in. They used to have weddings and other functions too during the holiday periods...

Lovely! Big congratulations

Oh that is lovely! I am glad you have found somewhere nice to have your wedding, it's just a shame about the manner of the vicar where you were to get married.

Taunton School! Memories of my mis-spent youth!
It will be a lovely place for a wedding. Hope you have a sunny day, when it comes.

Sorry in one way but they say everything happens for a reason.
It looks like your reason was to get such a beautiful place!! Congratulations.
I hope you get a fantastic day weather wise. Let us know what date you go for.
Looks like next year is the "Wedding" year for us here on Catsey

Re: Wedding's cancelled

I have to pick from what dates they have left, which isnt many as Im sure you can imagine
Im hopeing for August next year, the same as our wedding was going to be this year
Im so pleased that my whole day is going to be in one place, and if we choose we dont want a church/chapal service, they have the liscense for us to use one of the other rooms or maybe even the gardens

Clair - it's a dream-like location! You really must follow your heart when such important things are concerned otherwise you end up regretting it forever.

That looks like a lovely place for your wedding, and how nice you can marry in your dream spot! That vicar with her odd attitude actually did you a favor...hope you get the date you want and that the weather is perfect!
