New neighbours

Moved in last friday, this afternoon is the first time I have met them. Have had to ask them to be careful as they have been wedging the front door open to go and pop things into the bins, Thing is, its a busy main street out the front and my cats were in the stairwell as i had opened the back door for them to go into the garden.
Have asked G to keep an eye on this if I am not here coz the last thing i want is for Eva and her new found self confidence and Bernie with his inquisitiveness to end up on the busy street.
Hopefully this wont happen again, the chap was nice and appologised.

Yes, I hope it will be OK Elaine. If the chap was nice about it, then hopefully they won't forget. It's tricky when you are moving in or out. Perhaps you could stick a nicely worded note on the inside of the door?

Re: New neighbours

My friend has same problem. She stuck a wee poem on the door.

My cats are Billy and Emo, They're friendly and fluffy and sweet
They'll give you no trouble, They'll eat any mice
But they're silly out in the street
So I've something to ask, I hope you don't mind
It's just so I know that they're safe and all right
Please keep the door shut, 'cause they don't understand cars.
And it means that I won't die from fright!

It raised a laugh and the door is very rarely open.

Lovely rhyme CM!!! That's certain to do the trick - much better than wading in boots first (not that I'm suggested Elaine would do that for a moment)!!

I like that very much, would she mind if I stole it and adapted it a little? Thankyou for posting it.
