Mini retch before eatingWasn't sure where to put this, either here or in health, but he doesn't seem to be in ill health and he's done this for a long time now. He's oriental and he eats dry food throughout the day. Occasionally he'll walk up to the bowl to eat and do this odd retch, mouth open tiny cough thing -it's very hard to describe. He does it once then he'll start eating. Any ideas?

Thinking about it retch isn't right, cos his stomach isn't involved, it's all from his mouth/throat area. |

How strange! At least it's not stopping him eating. Sorry I can't offer anything constructive, have you ever mentioned it to the vet? |
