Yellow magnolia


I never heard of this till I saw it a week ago..got some pics on the way to the Safeway this morning. I think it's stunning, going to get one!

I'd never even heard of them, much less seen one! Had to Google. There are six young ones planted outside the local middle school (building in background). So far all the garden sites I've checked are "sold out" !!!

How glorious!

We have to try and transplant a little Stella magnolia in a few weeks - if it does not survive the transplant, I might have to get a replacement yellow one!!!

It looks a nice shade of yellow - not too strong, quite buttery. Is there not a gardener or groundsman at the school that would know?
