Tuesday tempests

Good afternoon everyone!

Hope you are safe and dry. It's coming down in torrents of water which flood the streets and bubble over the manholes here. I dashed out to get a few essentials and visit my parents and was glad to get back home. Got the mountain of ironing to face now the washing has dried, that's my afternoon spoken for but I'll catch up with my recorded TV programmes while I do it.

Cuddles to your fur babies from me and mine xx

Re: Tuesday tempests

Afternoon PP - luckily not raining so hard here, OH has gone off to play golf. Forecast is not looking good for the week I think and I did hear that there were weather warnings out for Wales.

Pottering on Ancestry today, except they have got maintenance going on this afternoon, so I may just have to catch up with something else instead! I have found several ancestors with military records from The Boer War and other "Victorian"wars, so they weren't all stockbrokers or vicars!

Re: Tuesday tempests

Well it is raining here on and off although it was supposed to brighten up.
P.P Good luck with your ironing the downside of holidays someone could make a fortune with disposable clothing or self cleaning clothing.
Angie hope his golf goes well. And weather warnings for Wales - EKKK - will be there next Friday.

Good news have been out for a test drive in a new car today and have decided to get it. Its a Skoda Yeti....got a good deal as there is a facelift due. Went for the 1.2i petrol
as most of the driving is around towns. But has a nice bit of ummphh in it with the injection thing. (Can you tell I am not a car technical person) anyhow it is high which was the criteria for Mom and Dad and comfortable good back support for Mom multifunctional in the rear.
Collect it next Thursday 31st it has to be brought over from the other garage and I need to check it over but should be all good.
It is red with a black roof.

Re: Tuesday tempests

evening all, i like the sound of your yeti, Karen, sounds like a ladybird, well in colour anyway, lol.
We have a skoda fabia and love it.
Angie, hope you managed to find some more interesting ancestors.
Nettie, bet you thought you were back on the cruise, with all the flooding, lol.
I've been to preston shopping this morning. I have had a sort out in my doll room so i can display a doll house given to me by my aunty, lots of shuffling around but it's in situ.
