Liners

Has anyone used litter tray liners?
I was wondering how strong they were as Cassie always scratches to the bottom of her tray and I could imagine her ripping it to bits beforer she'd even done anything!
Just thought it would make it a lot easier cleaning out her tray in winter time.

Re: Liners

I ALWAYS use liners on both litter trays, it's so much cleaner when you clean them out - they are sort of black sack thickness, they do get a little bit ripped, but never completely destroyed. I would recommend them deffo - the ones I have are:

Van Ness 12 large cat pan liners (about £2.50) for 12

They are in a proper cardboard box and the box is yellow.

Came home from shopping tonight and someone has an upset tum - Ewwwww yuk - all in the litter tray but phew not a nice smell to come home to!!!! It's Archie, and I think I know why - the little plant I bought for Smokey''s grave is missing a couple of leaves - well the leaves are there - they are just chewed!!! Just hope Archie will not be too poorly - he seems ok still running around like an idiot!

Re: Liners

I might try them Abs as it's always a pain washing the tray out at this time of year Ta for the info

Poor Archie, I hope he's ok. I find my plants have chewed ends, I grow trays of cat grass for this time of the year so that Cassie can chew on that - its supposed to help upset tums isnt it?

Re: Liners

Werid you should say that mags I have grass on the go at the moment!! Just waiting for it to mature for them!!!

Does Cassie stay in all the time then Mags?

I have a cat tray disinfectant that I spay and then wipe it with kitchen roll after - works a treat and smells nice too.

Re: Liners

Great minds Abs!!

Cassie doesn't go out much in the winter, don't think she likes the cold
She'll go outside for a couple of minutes and then come in to use her litter tray

I tend to use ordinary household disinfectant and she doesn't have any objections!

Re: Liners

Daisy is the same - she stays in all week and I try to encourge her to go out at the weekend - I put her out and 2 mins later she is at the back door crying to come in - bless her.
