Sunday's Thread

Morning! Wind is howling and rain is lashing this morning Oh joy! I'm going to be off to the emergency docs with Sebi as his poor little eyes are all puffy and gooey - he can hardly see out of them

Apart from that (which will probably take most of the day) we'll be doing the tree and OH will be picking up our oak work tops

Re: Sunday's Thread

Morning all, the sun is out here after a very stormy, windy night, Cassie has almost turned into an indoor cat ...... she detests wind and rain and just sits by her cat flap looking out!

I intend tackling the present wrapping this afternoon then I will know what I have left to buy. We are going to Cardiff for the day on Wednesday so no doubt I will buy a few more things there....

Yola
~ I do hope Sebi's eyes will be better soon .... do you think it could be conjunctivitis? Good luck with your tree this afternoon!

Fran
~ Don't forget your camera!!! I can imagine how excited you are at seeing Bliss's babies again ....... I'm looking forward to seeing them too!

Hope everyone has a lovely day!

Re: Sunday's Thread

Morning Yola, Fran.
My quiet Sunday erupted into a war between Ceilidh and Darryle this morning at 8.30 over a TV program . So glad he's away to work now. He just loves to tease her!!!

OH working this morning and now it's just the two girls.

We went to see the Golden Compass last night. I was a bit disappointed in it after all the hype it's had. It's very obvious that there's going to be another. The ending made that clear. The graphics are fantastic, I just feel they packed too much into it. A lot for a kid to grasp. It was good though.

I have nothing in the pipe line for today. Just taking it easy. Oh apart from the dreaded ironing that is

Yola, I hope the Doc gives Sebi something to help him. Poor wee lamb.

Fran enjoy the babies, take your camera

Re: Sunday's Thread

It is conjunctivitis!! I have a prescription for drops, but as it's out of hours we were at the hospital doc for nearly 2 hours . . . I hate such lenghty waits Seb's very tired and has gone for a nap and when OH gets back from Homebase I will go and get his drops.

Jac - the Golden Compass is part of a trilogy of stories. I've heard good and bad about it - some say the anti-Christian message is too strong (akin to the book), others say that it has been watered down too much and is compromising the original story.

And OH has just phoned, after waiting nearly an hour in Homebase, it turns out the worktop was the wrong one (not thick enough) Good eh!

Re: Sunday's Thread

Afternoon all!
I spent part of the morning sorting out old handbags which have been lurking at the back of the wardrobe, some of them for years. I found all sorts of useless stuff in them, paper clips, old receipts, dead ball-point pens but then, lurking in a pocket, was the missing half to a pair of earrings I hadn't worn for ages. The really lucky bit was that I still had the other one in a dish of bits and bobs on the dressing table!

The motto, obviously, is never throw marginally useful stuff away! now, if I can only find the missing partners to the other 4 half pairs in that dish!

Hope Sebi feels a bit better soon, Yola, it's so miserable when little ones are poorly.

Re: Sunday's Thread

Afternoon, all! Grey and drizzly today and supposedly for the next three, but above freezing, so I'm not complaining, Did the marketing, nothing planned but finally addressing cards...been putting it off..

Yola: hope Sebi's feeling better soon
Fran: camera!!!
Jac: those books are quite complicated, I'm surprised that they were able to make a movie out of the first one; it gets even more complex as the series goes on...great read, however, IMO

Enjoy the day!

Re: Sunday's Thread

MrsH - I too have SO many odd pairs of earrings. Thing is, I keep hold of the orphan item even though its partner is actually broken rather than lost. How sad is that LOL!!
