Some Dogs do consider Cat poo a delicacy, yuk. There's no accounting for taste.
Sorry don't know which plant discourages cats, but sure someone else will know

Have to say my Cali is one of these disgusting dogs - often a race between me and her to the litter tray.

I don't know about plants but you can buy stuff in the garden centre that is supposed to discourage cats. A neighbour of my Mum swears by orange peelings and short lengths of hosepipe (makes them think it's snakes he said!)

I think you are thinking about Coleus Canina, boys mum. I saw it advertised in my plant catalogues in the Spring, but obviously have not tried it myself, so I cannot vouch for whether it works or not.

I've heard that Rue (herb) is repellant to cats, also that sprinkling orange peels around will discourage them as they dislike the scent.

also the get off granules you can buy from a lot of garden centres (and places like home bargains). A green gel that you sprinkle where you want to deter the cats from. I've used it in the past to good effect
