My garden feature

Wherever i go on holiday i am compelled to collect Pebbles, shells and driftwood. I just love to have natural things around me. Sometimes it means i miss out on beautiful views because my nose is glued to the ground in fascination.
I brought back some beautiful pabbles from Kefalonia last year and the colours are remarkable especialy when wet. I decided to make a garden feature of them and bought an old tatty collander from the car boot, i then sprayed it with enamel paint and piled the pebbles into it. When it rains the colours realy come out and of course the water drains away so doesn't go stagnant.
I placed the collander on a log we managed to get and whilst i wasn't looking a lovely display of fungi grew.

Re: My garden feature

A fellow pebble collector!!! What a good idea with the collander Shelley! My pebbles get placed on the ground and over time just disappear into the soil - natural, but I miss the pebbles.

That log is just beautiful.

What an imaginative idea Shelley. Love the colour of the collandar and the variety of pebbles but that naturalised log is a beauty! Gorgeous and so interesting and I really want to touch it,

Aren't you creative! What a lovely idea; and the stump with the tree fungi is a real eyecatcher ... love it!
