Poor Ben

Ben & Henri were out in the cat run & when they came in i saw the blood. Back of Ben's wee hind leg from Hock to foot was lacerated. Everyones grounded from the cat run until i get up to check it. Vet had to stitch it. There isnt much skin stretch at back of the leg & intricate surgery so they kept him overnight x

Poor lad. I wonder what has caused such an injury? What do you think it might be?

Re: Poor Ben

Oh Velvet, what a horrible thing to happen to poor Ben. It must be sore for him. I hope you can find out the source of the trouble. My outdoor compound is made of cat mesh which is soft and specially made for cats, so nothing to cut themselves on. Poor Ben. I hope he feels better soon.

Re: Poor Ben

Healing vibes for Ben, especially from our Pip who had a poorly leg a few weeks ago. He is fully recovered now (it was a bite) and he sends Ben best wishes to get better soon.

Re: Poor Ben

Lots of healing wishes to Ben. Could it be a wire cut? What an awful thing for him, the poor chap. Hope he heals quickly and you find out what it was that did it.

Re: Poor Ben

marmaduke did the same last summer. Had to be stappeled back together, of course it had to be a Sunday so was an emergency vet call out, still it was only £140 which I thought was very reasonable

Re: Poor Ben

I spent two hours in the cat run going over it with fine tooth comb & found nothing.

Unfortunately events have taken us by surprise. Ben was out with Henri that day. Henri has since been attacking the other cats generally terrorising them. He has always picked on Misty but this fighting is a new thing. We think Henri has injured Ben 😞

Taking Henri to vets tomorrow for full health check up.

Ben is fine has got his bandage off twice last time they said leave it off. Wound is good 7 stitches which he is leaving alone thankfully. Good boy that way.

Goodness that's a worry. Wonder what's "turned" Henri.

Re: Poor Ben

Oh dear. poor Ben. Thank goodness our boys don't fight. Do you think Henri might be poorly in some way? We only have Swirly and Inky swearing at each other. I hope you get to the bottom of it.
