Just afternoon, taking dogs out. All cats had morning treats and Barnes and Fecto had milkaccino. Off for a chest x ray later. All shopping done yesterday so will have a twirl round Oldham. Primark is looking good.

Re: Friday, brew time

Afternoon all - bit changeable weatherwise here, had sun, showers, windy and quite chilly but dry atm. Was going to the beach (instead of yesterday) but now waiting in for a delivery.

FM - hope chest x-ray is OK and also best wishes for Dinky's results.

Getting on with a calligram - my new project. Looking good in places, so onwards and upwards with that.

Have a good day folks. IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Friday, brew time

Hello all,
Juts sent off my a bid for freelance work..... only 3 weeks of salaried employment left!

It's cold and grey here still with glimpses of brightness so I'm hoping for warmer weather soon.

Kazz, varifocals are great- I got sick of constantly switching specs.

Hope the X ray is OK FM. Hi Shelley- think I'll get a cuppa in a minute. You are increasing my vocabulary again Angie as I've just had to look up calligram!

Have a good rest of Friday

FM - it's basically a picture made up with words. The one I'm working on atm is an apple, with names of different varieties.

Re: Friday, brew time

Hi folks!

I've been busy on my Family History stuff today, my great uncle wanted some info to pass on to his grandson so I've compiled a little potted history of his forebears I explained to him that he's called my grand uncle in genealogy speak, and his father's brother my great grand uncle. He likes the thought of being a grand uncle I think

Looking forward to seeing your next creation Angie, I agree with CS about varifocals Kazz, they're just the job. Hope the applications go well CS. Weather report here, Shelley, heavy showers but better tomorrow

Had a lovely Rum Baba after my evening meal of fish pie, haven't had one for years!
x

Re: Friday, brew time

Will know results in a week, need to make appt with doc.
Calligram sounds very interesting, bet it will be lovely.

Done a bit of family history for OH about his paternal Grandfather. Trying to find out about Macdonalds in Nova Scotia is a nightmare but we had some great help from a guy researching WW1 soldiers from his home town. He is also called MacDonald! No relation.
