Daily thread - Monday

First working day following the clock change. Not a great looking morning so far, but it's forecast to be warm (19c, nearly 70F) later. Then, at last, temperatures are forecast to fall. Can't say I'm complaining about the still late-summery temperatures but the weather/climate/seasons seem odd. There is little colour in the trees and hedgerows and very few leaves have fallen yet. However, if there are to be frosts at the end of the week that will send them tumbling

Re: Daily thread - Monday

Warm and lightly overcast here too. Sanity once again rules as Dominik is back at nursery after 1/2 term!

Off to my herbalist today at midday, I want to get some kind of 'pick me up' tonic from her as am feeling physically and mentally tired. Also, with the tummy now looking to be healing up (have final nurse appointment for all-clear later this afternoon), I want to start getting back into shape and the herbalist's delicious-tasting medicine really helped kick-start me last time around.

At 5pm the heating engineer will return to (hopefully) fix the heating and hot water. If, as forecast, the weather is to turn cold this will be just in the nick of time!

Afternoon all !
Damp, gloomy but warm here today. Have been into town this morning to get a few more things for Christmas, mainly stocking fillers for the kiddies.

Feeling one degree under today so not doing too much this afternoon other than preparing dinner.

Have to babysit Katie and Jamie this evening .......hope they'll be good!

Re: Daily thread - Monday

Shame your daughter had to cancel, Mags . . . hope she feels better soon.

Alex - if your'e reading this, I hope Teddy's OK . . . I'm thinking of you all {{{hugs}}}

Well I now have hot radiators and hot water!! Result Dominik has had a shower, much to his annoyance, and Sebastian will be having a bath later this evening.

Then tomorrow I think I'll spend all morning standing under the hot shower . . . you don't realise how much you miss it 'til you ain't got it

Oh - and tummy wound has got the all-clear so I will commence core strengthening exercises with caution now

Excellent news, Yola! Lovely sunny day here. 68F, but not much Autumn color so far....the almost rainless and very hot August must have stressed the trees; too bad as it's always so gorgeous, especially the maples. We may make 74F tomorrow...maybe can sit on the porch one last time...back to low 50's by the end of the week! Have a nice evening, all!
