Saturday's thread

Well - a very nice day here, but isn't autumn on its way? - no matter how warm the day you get that 'brr' feling round the arms as the evening draws on.
I've been at the allotment this morning - a mixture of picking and clearing up and preparing for next year. Potted up a dozen strawberry runners for my sis and BIL and detatched the remainder of thr runners - what prolific little chaps strawberries are! The late ones, which I got half a dozen new plants of a couple of weeks ago, are happy in their planting spot and a couple have already started to throw runners too - mmmm, free plants as Homer Simpson might say
OH has gone off to the first rugby of the ne season - he will be happy again! And me - I start in May at being delighted he's around but by the end of August i am ready for my Saturdays to myself again.
Dinah is restored to full health after her 'can't do anything but vomit' drama day yesterday. Mini is at 101%, looking and acting fab and the kittens are just ... well delightful - and still growing like crazy.
Wonder how Mags is enjoying her holiday? Hope they are having a great time.
And Yola - if I don't get the chance to say it again before you one become two .... very best wishes!

Hmmm rugby, now there is something I miss !

Rugby on the Saturday, then aching over a Sunday roast the next day.

Wall to wall here - from S. Hemisphere @ 8.00am, then tri-nations @ 3pm and something else this evening. Hooray for Sky. All before the premiership starts next week.

Well I was born in Ireland, moved to Africe then England, and am the youngest of 4 boys, and we've all played, I don't think I'll ever get away from it, or want to !

Re: Saturday's thread

DM - thought premier season had already started?? (we are talking footie aren't we)?? Newly-promoted Reading have already played 3 games so I thought it was under way.

All still quiet and calm here . . . had a kip this afternoon which annoyed me as I wanted to watch Morse but slept through most of it.

Hubby's done some more work in the garden and is now doing dinner - I shall go and help him and then off for an early night. I shall try and eat a whole pineapple over the next 24 hours (said to stimulate labour) and see where that gets me

No Yola - I'm talking the real football - rugby!

Enjoy your pineapple! You know the other way said to stimulate labour is what produced it in the first place?
