Lazy hazy Sunday

Well its Sunday and nothing is stirring here not even the dog......the weather is very cloudy even with the breeze. You can't see the sky for the cloud cover. but it is bright under the cloud, feels cold though mostly due to the breeze.

Anyhow enough of the weather forcast.

As I say not doing much at all, today. Roast chicken and trimmings for dinner today.
then hopefuly enough chicken left for a chicken sarnie later

Have a good day all.

Re: Lazy hazy Sunday

Afternoon Kazz - it's cold and windy here but hot when the sun comes out. I made the mistake of going to the driving range with OH but without a sweater. I got so cold that when I got back home, OH made me a hot bacon and egg sarnie to warm me up again. I might have to make that mistake again!!! MIL came with us and sat in the warm car - she was fine until we got back home again and she suddenly thought that she'd upset me and kept apologising. I have no idea where her mind goes to, but she has quite a different view of reality sometimes .......

Ah well. I have nothing to do this afternoon ................... can't believe I just typed that. That doesn't mean that I won't find something to do - such as weeding. Yes, that's what I'll do and check the tomatoes for side shoots.

Enjoy your roast chicken supper Kazz. I can smell it roasting in my mind's nostrils!!!

Re: Lazy hazy Sunday

Hi Kazz, Angie and those to follow. I always start with the weather as there's rarely any news: cloudless sky, breeze, 30C (86 F) and not too humid. To the market, stopped at the Flea Market but managed not to buy anything. Dinner: broiled crab cake, fresh spinach, potatoes rissole. Leia has not yet caught the mouse! This must be a diabolically clever one to evade my mighty huntress!

Have a lovely day whatever you're doing.

Re: Lazy hazy Sunday

Hope that pesky mouse gets caught soon!

I was first up this morning (unusual event!) which meant that the cats got a proper measured amount of food for breakfast, OH was astonished that they ate it all up instead of leaving loads for later - I wonder just how much he normally puts in their bowls?

Blue skies and sunshine here, air show display planes started practising about 9am and I've just realised that it's finally gone quiet, must be on a tea-break I've obviously got used to the noise as I didn't even notice when they'd stopped!

Re: Lazy hazy Sunday

Just back from a Dog show in Yorkshire. It was the northern Basenji club show.We took Malaika as an unentered Dog just to socialise. She met plenty of relatives including the sister we nearly had , also met 4 half siblings, her Dad and an aunty.
We haven't a clue whats going on in the show, i can't concentrate for long enough, i'm always busy nattering.
It was nice for Malaika's breeder to see her again and she's pleased with her.
Must go now as Tom and Jerry want their tea, trying Tom with some of Malaika's raw food tonight.
As for our tea, haven't a clue.
