Weaning to Canned Food

Cheddar is about 4 weeks old now. Should I start weaning him to canned? He's started to teeth no and tends to bit at the bottle more often now. How do I get him to start lapping up his formula from a plate?

Re: Weaning to Canned Food

Cheddar finally had his first taste of soft food mixed with formula tonight!! Using a syringe really helped to get him going. My little man is growing up so fast.

How long is it recommended to mix with formula?

What a heartwarming sight, timber-! I would give it a few days until he's really used to eating his own food and then gradually reduce the amount of formula you are mixing in and if he continues to eat happily, then the corner towards independent eating is made. You've really done so well with him and I'm so pleased for you both.
