Re: Holidays

're going to (forgive me if I spell this wrong) Hyfan A mor, to a haven camp.
The kids love those camps, Ryan goes swimming lessons, and clubs, elliot loves the park, beaches and they both love the evening discos etc.
Theyre NOT going in facny dress as a tank ( we couldnt get the box in the boot lol) so are going as two tv sets lol

May go to disneyland resort next year, OR if I'm back into a well paid job, to orlando to do proper disney as we call it, and bush gardens.

Staying in a chalet this year (june 12th-18th) half board. Love not having to cook and wash up on holiday lol!!!!

Re: Holidays

We've had a few weekends away in our caravan (we go on rallys with a club & it's such good fun & nice to get away from all the fast track "busy bee" life we lead) & have got a few more booked -- we aim to try & go about once a month, but it doesn't always work out like that.
I'm going away with a friend to Lyme regis for a week in August with the children (no hubbys on that hol)
Then we are all going away in August for 2 weeks to Devon (in our caravan)
Then we will be away for a few more weekends later in the year. We'll be away for Bonfire weekend & 1st week in Dec we are off to a Christmas rally & then we're away on a rally for New Year.

Re: Holidays

Well, at the start of the year we decided not to 'go' anywhere this year, but to do a holiday at home - visiting the type of places we don't go except when we're showing off to visitors etc, eating out, etc etc - Well, since then, we've just returned from 4 days in Normandy, have a weekend in the New Forest in Mid July, a weekend in Stockholm at the end of July and a week in western Corfu in October.
Yes, I do know I'm very lucky! I'm also very old and we used not to be able to afford holidays, so I'm making up for lost time!

Re: Holidays

We are going on a barge holiday to Wales. We will be taking our dog, Caleb. My son, (he's 1 doesn't want to 'do' family holidays anymore, so he will be 'home alone' and looking after the cats.

That sounds great Kim. I've always had a fancy for a barge holiday in France!
(PS. Once the offspring don't want to come I think it's best not to force/persuade; it's no fun trying to make people enjoy themselves!)
