Holidays

Are you having a holiday this year?

If so.... where?...Home or abroad?...Hotel, camping, caravan, B & B or other?

It will be interesting to hear how others spend their holidays.......

Re: Holidays

Have already been to Dahab, Egypt. About a week before the bombs. : / It was a culture and diving holiday and for a change we didn't camp, but stayed in local B&B stylee low-budget accommodations. We usually do a climbing/culture/diving/camping combination for two weeks at Easter time with friends.

We'll do a climbing-trip in October or so. Probably a week to ten days, and the other few days get used up around Christmas/Hogmanay when we alternate between inlaws (2 sets) and staying home "making our own traditions" also known as not really bothering.

I prefer the holidays where we camp in the middle of nowhere. I like waking up with the sun in the morning, bodging together food and bread with just a camping-stove, bonfire and fresh, basic ingredients. Don't like hotels. I also like active holidays. I can laze about for a day here and there, but no more than that.

Re: Holidays

I don't do holidays! Am a terrible stick-in-the-mud; hate travelling, like to sleep in my own bed, worry about the house & garden all the time I'm away, and loathe boarding the cats!! Haven't travelled since my Dad (who loved it) passed away.

Re: Holidays

We are going back to Croatia again in August to see everything we missed last year due to hubby's accident on the day we arrived. Hope to make the trip over to Venice as well while we are there.......

Re: Holidays

I'm hoping to go and stop at Alton Towers hotel again but it costs a real bomb to stop in a themed suite etc so just have to wait and see

Re: Holidays

I think we've had our holiday for this year - 10 days in Austria in Feb. We might get a couple of days out/weekends away to somewhere like Dorset (watch out DM . . . ), but other than that . . . nope, nothing
