Re: First Monday of 2010

Hi, Back to work today. I love my job, yet I hate going back after a holiday, how odd. Decided I needed to move my desk when I got into the office, so I had a little change round which was a refreshing change, old calenders/planners gone & all the new ones up. the day went really fast as we were busy collecting puppies after the christmas break. Oh and I got a mention on WM radio today.
Kazz, did you hear it? Phil Upton mentioned about my cycle challenge about 8am and again at 8.30am
that's about it, got 3 foster cats here and the pens are bitterly cold. I worry about my chickens in this cold too.

Right, jobs to do, nippers are back to school tomorrow.

I'm off now, see ya.

Oh the jumpers are being used now Mags, I shared them between the fosterers and some are using them on their foster cats now. (Thanks again for knitting them)

Can I please order 20 hen jumpers (pink) 2 larger cockerel jumpers (blue) and a very large dog-size jumper.

Re: First Monday of 2010

Very hard frost here today. My car wouldn't start so had to borrow my daughter's to drive to work - back today after the Christmas break. Called the RAC out, battery is knackered so took it to the garage to get a new one. £53 I hadn't budgeted for! but considering the car is a 'Y' reg and was still on original battery, that was very good! Very lucky that the garage had the right battery and was able to fit it for me.

So, Mags, will you be knitting little pink jumpers? Loved that link, that was a cute story.

If Smudgley had featherless ex battery hens like that one, poor birds, I would definitely have a go at knitting them

Re: First Monday of 2010

Luckily, mine all have lots of feathers.

My friend has 2 rescued x-battery hens, they looked a mess when she got them but now are all fully feathered like mine.

Must get some chicken photos to post. I'm doing some eggs again soon.
