Yola - have you thought about having Sebastian on your body all the time, in one of those kangaroo carrier things? Do you think it might give him some comfort? Poor little chap. Hope you find the answer quickly, for both your sakes |

DM - I do have a baby sling. In desperation I used it around the house last week but the novelty wore of (for him) in about 20 minutes and he was screaming again Jac - thanks for the info. We were BADLY stung last time as the woman was a kleptomanaic nutter . . . but surprisingly good with Dominik. I will be taking every precaution possible this time round and will be grilling the agency thoroughly. |

Afternoon all. Been out all morning doing little odds and ends, nothing major. Bought the kits all new collars out of Home Bargains, great for 49p each, lol. Bought a sachet of cat food to try Teddie on, it is 70% fish, so will add a TINY amount to her next fish meal. Went to H&B to look at salmon oil for her but it was £9.99 for the bottle of them and there is no way I'm spending that in case it makes her bad again!! Would cod liver oil be beneficial do you think or the omega-3 fish oil capsules? off to my craft group in a few minutes so have a good day all. Yola - hope you manage to get some respite from Sebastians crying today, I know how debilitating a screaming baby can be (hugs) |

Fran, he has occasions bouts of vomiting but as it's only very sporadic, nothing of concern - just the usual possetting most of the time. His diarrhoea has calmed down also (which was the reason we sought the referral). I think he's just unlucky enough to be colicky, have a potential cow's milk allergy and be beginning teething all in one go . . Sorry to have hogged the daily thread to discuss Sebastian. |

It's such a tough age for them...so many changes going on in their little bodies all at once. I hope you get to the bottom of the problem Yola. There is nothing more nerve freying than a constantly screaming baby especially if you don't know what is wrong with them |

He was so ill. Cried and screamed all the time. Lost weight constantly (even though a baby was expected to gain). My doctor kept telling me I wasnt sterilising the bottles properly - a different doctor after months of me complaining told me he was allergic!! He is all ok now, but Yola, get a doctor to confirm allergy and try the soya milk. It wont do him any harm. |

Soya milk was discussed with the specialist on Friday. He warned against this as soya milk has high eostrogen content and they don't like to give it to babies now, especially boys (obviously, as it's a female hormone ). The specialist says that GPs will prescribe/suggest soya milk as it's cheap whereas infact they should be offering a cow's milk that has had the protein molecules altered (broken down). However this is an expensive product and GPs resist prescribing it unless they absolutely have to!! I was going to just get a soya milk alternative off the shelf at Boots, but I didn't want to start messing Sebastian around by trying lots of different milks without professional input. Good job I waited!! |
