Re: Anyone do car boots

I have done many in the past, never made that much though. Aberdonians are so bloody tight and want something for nothing all the time. It was good crack though but tiring.
I also have an extremely bad habbit of heading for the pet shop in the indoor market and spending anything I make on the cats.
Plan to do one quite soon.
They can be a bit frightening at first as some of the dealer have no manners and will pull open your car doors and start rumaging through your stuff.

Its almost come to that Yola, I do tend to shout ALOT at first to get them to back off. It might just be a North East of Scotland thing

Some good tips there - I can never be bothered to stand around selling stuff for 50p etc, but better to be going there to buy!!

Re: Anyone do car boots

Good luck Kazz.

I'm not keen on Boot sales, but have done a couple myself. I hate the 'vultures' at the bginning, if I do another one I will tell them to "Get lost"! Price up anything of reasonable value, and just see how things go, if you are being left with stuff you want to get rid of, reduce the price. Take a fold up table, wallpaper type is good, lots of change and some carrier bags!
