Re: Cleo missing Oscar - breaks your heart

It appears to be getting worse actually. Although she pretty much didn't seem to notice at first I have always figured cats/animals sense of time is not the same as ours - but the "loss" she feels must have become noticable to her now. And she seems as if part of her is missing, her fun loving half - maybe they had come to rely on each other like an old married couple soto speak certain in the nowledge the other was there, now he's not. Oh well it has to lessen this can't go on. Thanks all.

Does Cleo get any comfort from the smell of anything Oscar had that was more his than hers? Could you let her have something to snuggle up to?

Its an excellent idea Donna and I have already done this (see post 1)
There is one way to calm her - Oscars bean bag - Cleo never liked bean bags but now she is often found curled up on his bean bag asleep.

But as you can imagine it now has her smell more than hison it. As it was on the 18th Dec he was PTS so his scent is wearing off now - must be the same around the house in general too I imagine maybe this is what has sent her worse than she has been so far his scent has almost gone. I don't even find his hairs anymore So it must be the same for her.
