Afternoon all, boiling hot here again Had an uncomfortable night, very sticky despite having the fan on

Too hot to do much today. Have cleaned the bathroom and feckled round a little. Not much else planned but picking Em up from school in a short while.

Lovely word feckle Fran. Haven't met it before. What is it's precise meaning? - sort of faff about without much effect? I like it lots and will adopt it once I'm sure of what I'm saying

isnt feckle an irish word? there was song out about in back in 1995 ish.
something like

" a feckle gar feckle true feckle ellar
and I not know no feckle at all"

or is that ****le? (no not rude, it is actually an irish word)

Strangley enough DM, there is no entry for the word feckle in the dictionary It's a word that I have always used in the way you described. Perhaps it is a colloquialism??

My father was Irish and my aunt that I spent a lot of time with as a child was also Irish, so perhaps Carly, that is where I got it from?

ok, i emailed an irish friend of mine who called me a fecking eejit. Which apaprantly is NOT swearing.

She says it's ****e not feckle! so feckle is a fran word lol
