Like Fran, I wanted to join the Police but didn't quite grow tall enough to meet the height requirement which existed then. At one point, when I was in the Sixth Form, I had a mad moment when I thought I'd like to be a forensic scientist. Fortunately that passed! Just as well because I was doing completely the wrong A levels, not a science subject among them!! I think I'd got the idea from a television series of the time called "The Expert" (this was long before CSI, by the way!) |

Ever since I can remember I have wanted to be a vet the I decided a vet nurse would suit me better. I got as far as starting the course but fell ill and had to stop. Which left me devastated. Anyway I drifted through jobs for a bit and then decieded the running my own cattery would be great and that is th dream I am following at the moment. Which looks like it will come true in the next few months. Sally |

It's sad that in todays world women are put down for 'just' wanting a family and home. When you think of the many skills it takes to raise children and run a household, it is truly astonishing. Well done to you for living the life you wanted. |
