Re: How bad do I feel??

They'll be 7 weeks on friday Smudgley.

As far as I know it's to do with cost and a few bad experiencs. One lady decided she wanted to foster and had a pen delivered then changed her mind so it got moved to someone else who also decided they didnt want to do it anymore. this was before a single cat had been in residence!!

Re: How bad do I feel??

Yes Kazz - for some people (including me) in house fostering is not an option (ok, there were a couple of exceptions) Therefore an outdoor pen is what I requested.

I know a branch very close to us here, wouldn't let a lady I know foster for them because she wanted an outdoor pen & they said they hadn't got the funds.... She is now fostering for our branch instead. (with an outdoor pen)

Re: How bad do I feel??

Dumb question ... I've never had a mum cat with kittens ....I thought the mum trained them to use the litter box...... am I wrong? Or are these just too young to have learned yet?

I thought mum automatically taught them too Eileen lol, guess we were wrong. i've seen two of them using the tray, but Edmund is the one that seems to be doing it under the table!!

Re: How bad do I feel??

Oh. Boy cats!!! Dandy missed the part about covering when his mum taught him...he always used the box, but just make a careless swipe in the general direction of the poo, and hopped out of the box. It was hysterical to see my Misty...she would look at it, look at me with an expression that just said "Men!!!!", and proceed to cover it! I still laugh remembering my fastidious little Misty and her horror at uncovered poo! (I would just leave it there instead of scooping because I loved watching her!)

But Kazz, you had to be there...it was a case of female bonding, us commiserating about men...the look on her face was just so funny......
