Thought this chart might be of help - it compares cat ages to human ages. It's in French I'm afraid, but you can still get the idea!!!

So, 16 is about 80 years old in human comparison.

We lost Tabs when she was 14 but she disappeared, I dread to think what happened to her but she did have some health issues and was on meds although I still expected to have her a few more years at least.

16 is a good age but if in good health he will hopefully have a good few more ahead of him.
