Re: Daily Thread - Friday

hello,all.
made a nice long post but my computer died in the middle of it.
to sum it up, snow on ground but sun is out. worried about a windstorm that is supposed to get to 70mph here over the weekend (big trees across from us that can certainly fall on the house if provoked) and watching the forecast for my eight hours of driving on xmas day. (says snow everyday next week then rain that morning= ICE!!)
hoping we don't have to postpone it to another day but my mother wants us to be safe as well so we'll see.
just doing usual and getting caffeinated enough to do my chores and tend to "the kids".
hope you all are well and have a good rest of the day/evening!

Sounds nasty weather there! Hope you don't have to postpone the trip, but if the roads are that bad ..... and fingers crossed that the trees will stay where they belong, not on your house!

Woo! Glad you have a generator! We get power outages here too, but more often in the Summer when heavy A/C use overwhelms the grid. Never had one myself in Winter, don't know what I'd do...except freeze!

Re: Daily Thread - Friday

our fireplace will still work with no electric HOWEVER we have massive fish and reptile tanks that survive on electricity!!! also, what if the ferrets are out in one of the ferretproof rooms when it happens? i won't even bother opening the door for fear that they'll run past me without knowing it into the rest of the non ferret proof house! (as you can see i've been thinking about this, LOL)
