I am too old to be wooed by St V! I have bought my OH a card and a mug with hearts on it - how romantic is that?!

Bet he's not got even a card for me - but a hug and a kiss will do just fine!

Re: Daily thread ~ Friday 13th

Sunshine - and warmth - the day has improved!

DM - you were asking about snowdrops? There are plenty in full bloom in the woods. I noticed grape hyacinths in a garden I walked past today and I have 2 tete a tete daffs in bright yellow bud, so hopefully flowers to follow very shortly - hoorah!

Blimmin Bentley. I heard "Muuuuuuuum?" - you know the tone - and knew he had something. It's that poor frog again. He must have brought it in at least five times this winter Anyway - it's back in the hedge, hopefully out of harms way for a bit longer.

Re: Daily thread ~ Friday 13th

Afternoon, people! Sunny and back to seasonably cold, 5 degrees now, wind chill 2. Te gale force winds died down overnight, but there was a lot of damage, trees and power lines down, thousands in the dark, and a few people killed by falling limbs. Luckily, nothing in my neighborhood. Did the usual market run, nothing new here.

Meep, what a weird dream; you're lucky you can remember them! Odd how they seem to be making perfect sense as they play, and so strange in recollection; I often remember bits when people who've never met one another are together in a dream ...
DM. thanks for the snowdrop etc. report: you are way ahead of us here. No signs of snowdrops or crocus, although the winter jasmine is blooming; must remember to check the mahonia. I do envy you and Yola with your lovely allotments. My seeds are on the way, am looking forward to St. Patrick's day, traditionally the day we start them.
Nat, sounds wonderful! Enjoy!!
Angie, glad you're feeling more chipper today.
MrsH what a lovely image of everyone snoozing in yourhouse!

Be careful today, look both ways before crossing the street, it's Friday the 13th!

Re: Daily thread ~ Friday 13th

Morning all!
Well, I think the doc had it right about switching my AM meds with my PM meds..but I had a strange night.
Took an Ambien to sleep because my withdrawl headache was so bad..yet I was wide awake again at 2am...slept, awake at 4 and 7..then finally got up at 10am. But on a lighter note, at least I was not dead to the world past 1pm so that is some progress!
Woke up to some blood as I was apparently chewing on my lips last night during all this (weird).
Headache is milder today and I believe I'm over the worst of it...feeling very hopeful today.
Oh..and there may be a surprise coming this weekend...My anniversary is a few days after V-day and my OH told me what he wants to get me for a combo gift (usually celebrate both in one)...I'm not sure but there may be a new addition to the fur family...bet you can't guess what kind
Rest of the day should be pretty normal...will see what the day brings as I am just having my cup o joe now...
Love,
Tink

Re: Daily thread ~ Friday 13th

Dylan had an accident today (this evening)

He was wandering along the tops, tried climbing up something, lost his balance, fell, hit the bookcase, went into the washing basket, got out and rushed off so I don't know whether he's hurt himself or not

Tonight is the last time I'll be online for a week, I'll be staying with my mum and they don't have internet access, so I'll have to let you know how he is tomorrow if I have time to log on. He's going to the vets tomorrow anyway to have his claws seen to.

Re: Daily thread ~ Friday 13th

Tink - you're doing good. Hopefully you can get yourself into some kind of 'normal' pattern which will help you focus things and allign them to what's going on around you (if that makes sense). I hope your 'combo' gift is a good one - but another mouth feed . . . rather you than me

RCR - here's hoping Dylan's fine. They tend to land on their feet so probably it's only his pride that's dented. Let us know how he is please

It was the mere fact he'd struck the bookcase with a bang that's got me concerned! I'm just about to check on him, he's going to have his claws done at the vets tomorrow so I can get them to take a look.

I'll let you know, hoping I can log on tomorrow morning before I head out to the vets! Won't have time to after that!
