Daily thread ~ Friday 13th

Morning everyone

It's a wet and miserable looking one here, steady rain coming down at the moment.
Cassie is sat looking through her cat flap window and wondering whether to venture outdoors...

Not a lot planned for today, just the usual day to day things.

Hope Friday 13th stays good for you...

Morning all.
I am hoping today will be a lucky day for me as I tend to have sooo many mishaps all the year round
Looking through the window and the sky is blue, hoping we have seen an end to the snow now.
Got lots to do and get organised today as Erin is coming up this weekend.
Have a good day all xxx

Re: Daily thread ~ Friday 13th

Morning! Was so tired I went to bed just after 9 last night. It was a hot and restless night but I do feel better for a longer sleep. I have been having a clean up today as due to the weather the cleaner missed her visit last week (not due again until next week), but to be honest I didn't need to wash the bedroom floor as she must be doing such an excellent job it only needed a spot clean!!

Have to run into town with Sebi and my kewl trolley to get some pressies for a little boy's party he is attending tomorrow. Also, my slabs for the allotment shed are being delivered some time today. Thankfully here at home not to the allotment so tomorrow we'll ship them down bit by bit for OH to start laying the base . . . I'll also get him to peg out the raised beds (he doesn't know that yet ).

Right - off to wash the kitchen floor now which DOES get dirty

Re: Daily thread ~ Friday 13th

Morning all!

It's Friday I'm so in need of a long lie, although had a very good week and feeling quite chirpy. Had another great dance class last night, I do love it so much, leaves me elated

Although I remembered this morning a dream I had last night, and not a very good one; it was generally bizarre as dreams are, I was in my old house that I grew up in as a child. This house was called The White House (it was an old 19th century manse, so it had a 'title' rather than a number or street). And in my dream President Obama had died, and his body was on our kitchen floor. In the dream I felt devestated, as if I had a personal connection with him and was grieving, but I also was thinking "this isn't fair!" as he was going to be such a great President and he'd been snatched away early. It looked as if it was an accidental death but I felt it was a murder.

Now, I generally pay no attention to politics. I have never, ever once dreamed of politics, politicians or even current affairs (apart from wars etc.) This dream really affected me and I can't get it out of my head. It was only when walking to work that I began to remember that I saw him on my old kitchen floor, and that that house was called The White House (I swear I have not made this up). Very strange coincidence. I'm not sure if my subconcious put two and two together, although in my consciousness I don't feel I ever connected my old house to the home of the President of America.

The dream then moved on to people coming to investigate the death and the man had a huge, angry looking dog but Darcy and my old cat Sophie were in the kitchen and I was fiercly arguing that he couldn't bring the dog in or it would kill the cats too Such a very bizarre dream!

V-Day plans are OH is cooking me a delightful meal (I think breaded veal) and we'll have a cosy night in Never been out in restaurants to celebrate v-day as I don't like the thought of being surrounded by other couples and being expeted to act romantically.

Got to go shopping on Sunday for a smart, but not formal ball style, dress for a formal dinner with work next weekend. Here's hoping I find something quickly!

Yola, sounds like you're busy busy! Glad to hear you had a good long sleep, but take more me-time over the weekend And enjoy using your super cool trolley!

Re: Daily thread ~ Friday 13th

The dog needed an early morning wee today so OH got up to let him out then decided to stay up. He's now fast asleep in the armchair opposite, dog is asleep by his feet, one cat is upstairs asleep, the other is beside me on the sofa also asleep! There's a lot of snoring going on in various tones in our living room right now.

I've had my coffee and I'm now very keen to put the vacuum cleaner on, the carpet's gone all hairy since pupster has finally started losing some of his baby coat, but I'm just going to have to wait, couldn't possibly disturb them all could I?

Re: Daily thread ~ Friday 13th

Morning all.

I have had a disturbed sleep for the past 2 weeks. Milo is unable to go through the night now without a wee/poo and in turn wakes Bess, cats the the kids. He is also getting very fussy with his eating. Human food = great. Dog food = not so great.

New lappy is coming later so hubby will be sorting that out tonight and backing everything up off this one onto the hard drive and transferring it over.

Already been to the hospital with Millie as she had an Ultrasound scan this morning to check on her puberty development. She had bloods taken on Wednesday for hormonal levels. Bless her cottons, she is not even 9 yet

Off out for lunch soon then Bess has a playdate on the beach. Quiet night infront of the telly.

Hubby is taking me out for V-day tomorrow to the hotel we stayed in on our wedding night. I have a new dress and underwear to match We havent done anything for the past couple of years and if he who must be obeyed suggested it, who am I to argue?

Here is where we are going. http://www.bodysgallen.com/

Have a great weekend everyone x

Re: Daily thread ~ Friday 13th

It's a nasty cold damp day here, which is a disappointment as we had a good forecast. However, no frost last night. I reckon we've only had about a dozen frost-free nights since the start of December - amazingly cold winter. We'd better have a decent summer to make up for it.
meep - great dream! I don't dream a lot and when I do I seldom remember them - shame.
Yola - happy allotmenteering. We're just waiting for permission to erect individual sheds on the site and I'll be into the slab n shed scene too. We have a wonderful, large, communal building, with individual 'lockers plus loos, kitchen and shop, but there were always fewer 'sheds' than allotments, many allotments have now been divided, so we are severely underprovided. Plots furthest from the building will be permitted to have sheds.
I'd forgotten it's Friday 13th. Can't imagine that it'll be any more or less lucky than any other day though. I guess it'll be Friday 13 the next month as well then? Ho hum.
It was the monthly farmers market this morning, so I am well stocked for the next 4 weeks. Other than that, a quiet. cool, day for me.
Hope yours is good.

Natalie, I hope Millie is ok. Sounds like she's got the best mum in the world to look after her

And what a wonderful Valentines night you have planned I have new lingerie, but no new dress, and we'll have to hope the boys don't kick up too much of a fuss when shut out the bedroom again Have a wonderful break in the hotel, you deserve it!

Re: Daily thread ~ Friday 13th

Morning all ,

Its sunny here, hopefully warm enough to start melting some of this ice, one side of the road is like an ice ring at the moment. I nearly went over today taking some glass bottles to the bin men. Cats woke me up at 6:30 scratching at the door, the water sprayer technique is not working any more. Think a change of plan is in order.

Just got back from the gym, had the place to myself , ready for my afternoon nap , don't tell the girlfriend

Have a nice weekend everyone.

Matt

Re: Daily thread ~ Friday 13th

Hi everyone - sort of a bit of blue and a bit of grey and clouds, some white and some looking decidedly grey. I have been outside to have a look at the snowdrops and Merlin has been out too - he had a drink from the ditch (water must be freezing) and a scratch about in the borders - noticed him having a good sniff of the air. Dare I say he thinks he can smell Spring?

Sorry I was AWOL yesterday - not feeling too good. Better today - OH had to go for his regular hygienist check and came back with some jam doughnuts. Yummy!

What a spooky dream, meep - there's some rhyme about a dream told never comes true no matter how old .........

Have a good day everyone.
